Floral Lookalike

This floral lookalike is a mushroom on a dead log in our pasture.   This is one of my older photos, so it is a bit soft..I hadn't switched to all L lenses yet.   But, it is, still,  so pretty, that I wanted to post it.   I used a bit of Topaz clean to bring out some of the edges.  I find the most interesting mushrooms and toadstools on our little 5 acres after almost every big rain.  So many colors and textures!

The shape and size of this mushroom are great, Lucy.  There's so much softness and posterization in this that I don't think you can blame the len quality.  The lack of detail make the larger version an intriguing photo art image.

I agree, Mark...In fact, in my files, this is listed under photo art.  I almost went crazy with the art process, but decided that the softness was ok, as this mushroom has such soft colors.  A more aggressive treatment, IMO, would have been destructive.
