Wildest Dreams

My favourite image over 2 trips to Lofoten. This is a stitch of 3 horizontal frames handheld. Not sure why the reflection turned out so golden but it appears that way in some other pools of water I also photographed that day.

Simply spectacular Kah Kit, what a marvelous scene, and you have created a wonderful image of it. The sense of depth created by your composition is outstanding. I also really like the warm/cool contrast in this image. The golden reflection does not look unnatural relative to the rest of the foreground, but does appear a bit too dark relative to the clouds in the sky. This is a matter of personal taste but perhaps you could try balancing the tonalities a little between the clouds and their reflection. Try lifting the exposure a bit in the pool (the mountain reflection also looks very dark). That is a minor nit though, this is one sweet image as presented.

I can see why this is your favorite image. It really is a great image. It's the gold reflection that makes it so. The little tree is a good surprise addition. The gold reflection looks natural to me but the pink snow doesn't. Not sure how it got that way.

This is beautiful. The image has a real nice serene feel to it, too. I would agree with Igor about the pinkish snow and with Ed about the tonality differential. However, both are quite minor. Real nice work, I can see why this is your favorite.

This photo evoked a "wow" from me. It's a beautiful scene and well composed. My only minor suggestion would be to balance the tones of the reflected area which are dark in comparison to the sky and mountain. Wonderful otherwise. Richard

Wonderful conditions, beautifully composed. Processing looks excellent although I would agree with comments on the magenta cast in the foreground snow. Perhaps some minor tweaks to the local color balance.

Love the drama here, Kah Kit, with a subtle sense of motion in the clouds and that great reflection making a terrific image.

Beautiful. What a great alpine scene. I do agree with the others about the magenta in the foreground snow, and the reflection. I really like the mountain, the lonely tree, and the sky.

Wow. I can see why this is your favorite as all the elements work in harmony in this lovely winter scene, Kah Kit. The pool with the reflection is gorgeous as is the combination of warm and cool tones. I guess I am in the minority as I like the slight magenta cast in the FG snow.

Aside from the magenta cast, a really impressive shot.  Looks a little odd in combination with the bluer snow areas mid frame. Maybe brigjten the reflection a little.
