This is an oldie from 2012, but I haven't run across such nice morning dragonflies since.  I need to get down to the water more often.

7D, 300 mm,f/4 ISL, tripod, f/14, 1/50, iso 1250, aperture priority, pattern metering, -2/3 EV to keep from blowing out the drops.  Taken at a local preserve at 7:06 am on September 1st, 2012.

Your comments and critiques are always appreciated.

Note, the drops are so small that even the larger image is pushing it for resolution.

Thanks for taking a look,

Dennis, that is one well dewed dragonfly.  The glow of the dew is quite dramatic.  The details in the df and it's perch look great.

Superb image.  I like the composition, the contrast between the wings in the background, and of course the dew

This is a really nice oldie Dennis. I love the tiny droplets all over the DF. Really good DOF and nice smooth BG too.  The leaves are drawing my attention and I kind of wish they were either all there or not at all there.

Beautiful and delicate, a real find. Lovely dark background makes for a good contrast. The dark leaf at the top is a little distracting but I'm not sure what could be done about it. Perhaps try dodging? Wonderfully sharp where it counts.
