This Sea Otter had brought up a whole smorgasbord of shell food from the bottom and was picking and choosing as it floated calmly by.

Gary: much to like here. It's not often that detail is seen on otters as their fur is usually slick. The open mouth, the clump of mussels and the concentric rings make the photo special. Congrats! Richard

Nice one! i think otters are one of the hardest animals to get a good image of, because, as Richard said, their wet fur just does not normally lend itself to looking good in an image. Lots of detail in this, and a good expression, too. He looks really busy!
