Thing and I

I was hiking along the river on my way to the North rim. What looked like a chunk of baloney hit the side of my face and plopped down on my shoulder. I immediately recognized that it was "Thing". He was probably just looking to hitch a ride. Traveling by hand and a desert environment must be difficult to say the least. We walked for a while then without notice he crawled off my shoulder and waved good bye. (He was either waving or just flopping around on the ground...couldn't tell for sure). Got to give him a hand, he's one tough cookie

Nice handiwork. You deserve a pat on the back.
