Beartooth Marmot

A fun moment from my spring Yellowstone tour last year.  I took my group up into the Beartooth Wilderness outside the national park, which offers some spectacular mountain views and occasional wildlife sightings.  On the way back down we stopped by the side of the road, where we were entertained by some yellow-bellied marmots.  I got down on my belly with a wider angle lens to see if I could capture the rodent with an interesting background.

Max: you're right about this photo being interesting. I like the pose and the perspective you've chosen. This guy could pass as a miniature grizzly. Richard

This is so cool Max.  I really love that you have placed the main attraction right smack in the middle of his grand world.  What a fun shot.

This is a great image.  Yep, in the thumbnail, it looks like a grizzly!  What a great portrait with a great background.

What a great shot Max! Love the background, great depth of field. The colors are great and you can't beat the composition. What an expression. Only suggestion is you might try de hazing the background to see how that impacts the entire photo. Keep up the good work
