After weeks effort got a hunting moment where the bird is after a tiny mayfly flying over water (wish these insects were bit colorful and bigger).
Canon 7DII,500mmf4 IS,1/2500s,f6.3,ISO 800,HH from river side.
Thanks my friend & co-photographer  Somdeb Biswas for his support and inspiration.
Thanks for looking,comments welcome.

Nice stop action in flight shot, Debapratim.  I am not familiar with this bird at all, so always nice to see something new and different.  I am not the best photographer on this site, so please take my suggestions as just that.  To me, it seems that the water is a bit dark, and so wondering if it would be an even better image if it was brighten, mainly on the water, but maybe a little on the bird as well.  Maybe a boost in contrast might be a plus as well, you could try it.  As for the fly, which would have been wonderful to include if it was tact sharp (which would be not so easy to have accomplished, as I am sure you probably couldn't even see in the viewfinder) and would have been icing on the cake.  But since it isn't, I wonder if the image would be better if you clone the fly out?  Just a thought.  It really is a great capture as it is.

Welcome to NPN.  We're looking forward to seeing more of your work and having you participate by providing comments on other photographers images.

This is a really cool image.  The low flying bird with the full reflection is awesome.  The mayfly (while small) is still a huge addition to the image to get a sense of what's going on.  Very nicely captured.

This is really nicely done. To catch a bird swooping in on a tiny insect and to get them both is awesome.

This is great, Debapratim.  To catch both the bird and the prey is wonderful in itself but to have it so well caught and a reflection to boot is just outstanding. Excellent image and I wouldn't change a thing.

Superb image with terrific composition because of the reflection and the added plus of chasing the fly.  Not easy to do.  Large image needs to be seen because it shows more detail.  While I think this is a terrific image, I think a slightly faster shutter speed at higher iso and perhaps F7 .1 would have made the image even sharper.  But it's not always easy to think about that on the fly (no pun intended).

Welcome to NPN. I really like that the bird is gliding so close to the surface. The mayfly is small but tells the story well. Look forward to more from you.

Amazing first post.  Just the bird without the reflection and bug would be good, but you nailed all three.  Looking forward to seeing more of your work.  Dave

Wow. This is awesome. The bird is sharp and the reflection and you got the mayfly. Great work!

Beautiful incoming flight shot of this small bullet chasing food. It is great that you got the reflection which adds another dimension to the composition. I think you could have cloned out some of the blackish weeds floating on the water surface especially the one underbelly. Great shot indeed.
