I caught the two woodpeckers doing their thing. They were out nest hunting and decided to take a break. All feedback is appreciated greatly Ry

Excellent catch, Ry. A good job on the exposure against that bright sky. Both the woodpeckers and the perch have a slightly soft look to me. To my eye it looks as if it were due to either a large crop or maybe major exposure adjustments.

I agree generally with Dennis, but I am also seeing quite an improvement in your detail management from previous pictures of yours.

I agree with Phil...your focus is improving. The feathers on the male are really nicely colored. And I think any softness is from their natural "movement"
Nice "intimate" catch!
After a second look, I might have cropped a bit more than half of the empty space at the top....

Really nice high key image Ry, not sure if you needed iso 1600 and 1/2000, since they weren't flying I think iso 800 and 1/1000 would have probably done the trick and might have improved image quality. I agree with Lucy you could take a touch off the top, but all in all a cool image!
