Klamath Otters + RP

This was taken a few years back at the Lower Klamath NWR in far Northern California. There were four otters that came and went from the hole in the ice for a little while. This is about 50% of the original frame. Canon 40D, f5.6, 1/100 sec, iso 400, +.3 EV, 100-400 ISL at 400 mm, in deep shade.  I tried warming it up a bit in post processing along with lifting the shadows a lot.  Thanks for your critiques and comments.

I like the color and mood of this very much, as well as the pose of the otters.  Full size detail seems a wee bit soft for a significant sized print, and given era of equipment and crop that might be expected.  I cannot tell where true level should be, but given the line of the snow at the back of ice, I think a bit of clockwise rotation would make it feel better.

Thank you Lon. I appreciate your comments. I have applied a slight rotation to the right.

Neat to catch these guys out on the ice Ed, I like the poses with one looking at you and one looking away, nicely captured! devil

I think the slight tweak in the repost is good improvement!
