Great Crested Greeb

La Nautique, Geneva, Switzerland
D810     300mm   f2.8  G ED VR2 + tc 1.4 series 3
f/10   ISO 800   1/1000s    EV 0.0  WBA     Handheld
Photoshop CS6

The Greeb had barely surfaced; hence the somewhat bedraggled looking winter plumage and flurry of water droplets. The green-blue and black reflections resulted from the proximity of moored yachts in the boat-float.
Thanks for viewing
Your crits and nits are most welcome

While the angle is a bit steep, David, I like the head turn and the reflection is really cool.

Love the water color and texture here David, and the reflection of the Grebe's neck is terrific. I agree with Dennis and think that a lower perspective would have elevated this image significantly. devil

Nice light and detail David. Ditto with the perspective pointed out by others.

The eye stands out really nicely here and makes for a good focal point.  I would crop some from the top and left to move it out of the center some.  Nice work David! devil
