Very nice David,  I like your comp and the cactus branch on the right although not essential, adds some balance to the horizontal presentation.  I like this one............................Jim

Excellent as posted. A favorite subject in a typical pose and setting. Nice complimentary soft light. Well done.

For some reason Cactus Wrens have become much harder to find around Phoenix. They used to be regualr in our yard but disappeared a couple years ago. Theyr used to be easy at the Gilbert Water Ranch but I haven't seen one there in a few years now.  I can still find a couple at Boyce Thompson Arboretum but not as easily as they used to be.

Beautiful, David.  I seemed to have a problem getting this species to cooperate when I was there a few years ago.  This is sweet.  Beautiful head turn and light and a very appropriate perch.

Very nice comp and of course the perch makes this even better since after all it is a cactus wren! Nice work David!

Love the desert colors. The wren is appropriately perched and the comp is well balanced.

Lovely image with great light and beautiful background. Just a touch more room on the bottom if you have it. Nicely done.

Great comp and techs, David. It's nice to have the perch out in the open to isolate the BG like you did with harmonious colors. I've considered getting that lens for some time, and after seeing all the recent images, I'm sold. Wonderful work as usual.

Bill,  I have been very pleased with the Sigma 150-600mm.  I still have my 500mm prime, but the Sigma has become my walking around lens.  The 500 is sharper and focus hunts less in low light, but the versatility  of a zoom, lighter weight and pretty good sharpness make the Sigma a winner for me.  Dave
