I was out doing flower photos on the Clear Creek Trail in Golden and came along this fellow in the Kayak Park on Clear Creek.  Luckily had the 300 mm lens with me.

Comments and suggestions always welcome

Nice catch of the action!  I like that you were able to get a clear view of the kayakers face.  The bright colors add a lot to this image.  I drove that canyon for a few years and do not recall ever seeing kayaks on it.  But, it has been a few years ago.  TFS.

Real nice stop action of a very dynamic scene. You captured a very intense look of concentration on the kayaker's face, too. Nicely done.

Terrific action image, Kathy. I like the comp with the tilted subject and the "frozen" action. Well done.

Great action shot.  Gives a good feeling for what he is experiencing.  Good detail throughout and I like the stop-action effect on the water.

As every comment made about a great action shot: I agree.
Would be interested in the camera data.

Thanks all

I apologize for omitting camera data on this one.  I used my Nikon D800 with a 300 mm f4 Nikkor lens.  I had the camera set at ISO 640, shutter 1/640 sec, f11.

This is almost full frame, no crop.
