I went high contrast abstract with this one from Death Valley.

Another beauty!  I'm wondering if opening the shadows slightly would work.  I can see some feint detail at the top left shadow / border and I think more of that effect in other areas might be nice.  Probably just the way I see things, very nice as is.  I can see how a zoom lens is needed in this place, lot of options without moving.

Still pretty sensuous. I see a pelvis in the lrc. This one is a bit busier than the others, particularly the last one. I would simplify the comp.

Harley,

Or a "Sea of Dunes" or sand... What a view! It seems to go on forever and I can't see any footprints!  You must have sent Dave during the night to erase them! enlightened

The effect of going higher contrast is quite striking actually and I think quite fitting given the scene and hard, yet angled light.

My only suggestion/question is if there is any detail that can be extracted, especially from the primary dune at the bottom?  Now I'm just thinking out loud, but maybe it's natural?  The ripples fading as they get towards the steeper slope.... the up draft of the winds washing out the ripples?  So maybe I'm wishing for something that isn't even there.  If that's the case, then I've no further nits or suggestions.

What a view!  Adjusting your zoom and there are countless options here!  I'm guessing you captured more than this from here.

Excellent.

This is another spectacular dunes image from DV, Harley.  You are killing me with these.  I spent one morning at those dunes, and for me they were the most interesting part of the park.  I need to go back and camp at stovepipe wells.  I got nothing for you on this one.  It's just fabulous.  Congrats on such a wonderful series.

Well I think you achieved your vision - this definitely has a strong abstract quality. I'm really liking the way the strong contrast shows off the ripples in the foreground dunes but I think I might like a hint of detail coming through in the deep shadows and background mountainside. Composition is well balanced and pleasing as presented but you probably could play with any number of other compositions.

A very unique DV dunes image, Harley. The dark bg gives the an other world look. Nicely done!

Wow, you guys are just killing it with your DV trip, Harley. This is just superb and when I open the large version all those textures and details come alive. I think the high contrast works beautifully for this desert landscape.

Beautiful scene, Harley. Dunes are really magical. I like a lot the overall feeling of the image. Given the sinuous nature of the image I would clone the two sharp-cornered "imperfections" in the center of the image. Just a very minor nit.

Harley, I really like the high contrast processing here, those rich blacks add a lot of pop to this image. As others have already commented, i hope you can recover a little detail from the highlights from the left side of the big dune in the LRC. whats going on in this image is so graphic, I think you could even extract a second image here, completely eliminating the two large dunes at the bottom, and just leave the top half of the image.

Harley, WOW, this one is very cool. Looks like an ATVer's dream world come true. The undulating looks across the field of dunes almost gives the feeling of large waves. The pitch black BG seems to fit the scene perfectly too. Another fine take from the DVNP area.

Dude!
The contrast was bugging me looking at the thumbnail. But wow, this just gets better and better the bigger it gets. I think I'd be printing that one large!!
