This is your best so far and by far. I would lower the contrast in those clouds considerably more unless you've decided to have them this way for artistic expression. Personally I would favor a 'happy' sky with this dune. Brighter and less contrasty. It looks too 'muddy' now in some areas. The dune itself is magnificent in color, tonality, lighting, and composition. You couldn't ask for a better dune. And I like that black wedge on the right. My vote is to keep it if the subject comes up.

Harley: Oh this is FINE! Great play of light and shadows and just the right amount of complementary sky to suit me. Exceptional image.>=))>

Harley, a truly wonderful presentation from this area of DVNP. The leading lines of the sand ridges up to the dune peak is excellent. I could play a bit with some contrast / vibrancy slightly, but totally subjective on that point.
When you've got the excellent composition and exposure elements correct all the rest is just PS playtime......

This is exceptional, Harley. Very strong composition. I like the slightly dark rendering which gives it a richness and sense of drama. No suggestions.

This is a beautiful dune. I like your point of view with the cirque like curve below the steep ridge peak. Excellent comp with good balance in the shy. Very well done!

This is spectacular, Harley. I can see the point on the clouds (happy v. dramatic), but that’s up to you. No nits here.

Harley,
So much to like about this - and comment on! I'll start at the bottom with the bold, yet graceful curving ridge. The contrast with the shadow is striking. But also, I find the tone/color of this highlighted ridge to provide a nice color contrast to the image overall. The centered peak is fantastic - reminds me of an ancient pyramid. The soft curves and lines leading from the bottom ridge to the pointed peak of the dune is another important element. The clouds are quite complimentary and you've composed this view quite nicely.
If I had one comment/suggestion, it would be to deal with the contrast in the clouds in the UR - much like the clouds in your previous image. Very, very minor. I'll go ahead and mention the dark triangle on the right edge. One of those situations where I think you've included enough of that graphic that it's not detracting from the scene. Others may think differently.

Great light and color. The leading line just pulls the eye right from the bottom left right to the top of the image and the clouds give a nice place to explore. Great composition.

I really like this. The composition is spot on. However, I would experiment a bit with the clouds and perhaps just lighten them a bit.

Really good Harvey as others have mentioned it is just the clouds that look a little subdued in contrast and brightness.

Excellent image, Harley. The sweeping line leading to the top of the dune and the clouds is terrific.

The dune is really magical here, Harley. Also the sky works better here than in your previous post. This would be also a terrific b&w. Well done and congrats for the place you visited.

A very powerful composition Harley, I like this one the best of your recent dune series. The placement of the triangular dune dead center with the sweeping arc of the dune below creates a very high impact image. The sky looks "muddier" in the small version, but better in the large version. Agree with Lon though, it is a little muddier in the URC of the sky. This composition is so strong though that it's certainly worth spending time playing with the processing in the sky.

Another great dunescape, Harley. The big "swoosh" of that leading ridge and how it leads to the centered pyramid work great. The cloudy sky with just a touch of blue lets the sky add well to the view. Definitely a keeper.

This is a really interesting interpretation of the Death Valley dunes. The main shapes are unique and striking, and I love how you have constructed the composition around them. A very strong image, Harley.
