One of the great joys of cruising Alaska on a small ship (60 passengers) was anchoring every night in some out of the way inlet or fjord and then exploring the area by kayak the next morning. Hoping to convey the scale of the area with one of our shipmates near the shoreline. All comments welcome. >=))>

I love the perspective here Bill!  The cliff is amazing, and I like how you have the kayak at the very edge of the light.  The light catching the back edge of the trees and the right side of the wall add to the perspective.  My wife and I have been talking about taking one of the cruises to Alaska, and this makes me want to check out the smaller boats.  I would love to wake up with a scene like this every morning/

As this image unfurled on my screen from top to bottom I wondered why this was man and nature. And then there it was at the very bottom. I think this is a great composition of man in the grandeur of nature. Really well done because he really stands out. The bright sunlit areas keep things interesting throughout the image. Some minor cloning on the left edge and you're done. A really good image, imo.
