Shades of Flood

The little river flooded with the heavy rains. Did corps of water patterns...

The left top corner is a pice of large rock, under which the water was gushing out....let it as is...

C&C welcome

Balan, you've got a good sense of flow as well as an interesting shape in the flow.  I think a bit of dodging in the upper right would help the overall balance.

I love the abstract nature presented here, but I'm not as thrilled with the overall composition.  I think if the entire image was shifted up and to the left it would be much stronger (Just my opinion, of course).  As it is, the lighter spot in the lower right corner seems very tight, and the dark spot (rock and/or reflection) in the upper left is a bit of a distraction.  I think if you made the adjustment, this would be a superb abstract image.

Balan,

Terrific image of form and texture.  The brownish water from flood waters is not really all that appealing for me, but I get it - it is what it is and you did a great job in making this an abstract.

Interesting how we all see things so different and those differences make this place great and beneficial. Me, I am enjoying the flow of the water and colors in it. I find the top left corner distracting. I would consider a crop off the top and off the left to make the flow the star of the show. Fine abstract patterns and colors!

Balan, I like the concept here, and I think your shutter speed did a great job with the water flow (the water pattern in the center is spectacular). I agree with some of the other comments about the dark areas in the top being a distraction, I would recommend completely cropping them away, but what is going on in the bottom 3/4's of the image is really nice. I know the water was brown from the flooding, but to my taste I would like to see a slightly cooler white balance, and maybe reduce the green tint a little as well (especially near the top of the image).

Great abstract, Balan. I like the colors but I think it would be a terrific B&W too. I am a little bit skeptical about the dark upper right corner, maybe just try to slightly reduce it.
