Squirrel in the Berries

Unconventional, I know, but then again this is something I haven't ever seen before this. Glenlake Park, Decatur, Georgia, on a somewhat rainy day.

Canon EOS 7D Mark II EF100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS II USM +1.4x III @328mm
Aperture priority, Evaluative metering

I liked the way the squirrel was standing on one branch and holding onto another one, presumably so he could get a berry with his other hand.

I don't know how the compression is going to work on a complicated image like this, so if it looks too bad I'll delete this after I post and check it.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.  Please view the larger version.  Thank you!

It is a busy image, but does show the squirrel in a foraging situation.  I think you could have extended your lens more and been tighter on the squirrel.  The squirrel seems just a bit soft.  I have had problems getting the subject sharp when using a long lens and the subject is in a tree or bush with lots of small branches and twigs.  Thanks for sharing.

Tough situation, in contrasty light and lots and lots of competing lines!  I like the documentary nature of the image, but  feel the distractionsare quite strong.

Barbara, this is completely my MO. I love the action of the squirrel here, but understand the business is a bit distracting from the main event.
