Just a Song Sparrow

Winter has reduced avian diversity to just a few species in my area of the Pacific Northwest.  These small birds need a fair amount of stamina and perhaps some assistance to tough it out here.  (Or at least I hope they appreciate the feeders...)

iso 5000, 600mm, F9, 400, D500, fill flash at -0.7, EV at -0.3, tripod, DxO optics lab, ACR 10.,  Topaz adjust, TK sharpening action at 40%

They need attention too! Very nice detail in the bird, and the background and perch show him off well.

Nice pose, excellent detail and one of your beautiful perches, David.  I'm sure the birds appreciate the feeders.  While I was gone last week, my wife verified that the local deer appreciate the peanut butter I put out for the birds.

Not my favorite pose, but great detail on this bird.  Also love the perch and background.  The flash reflection in its eye might be best removed considering the sky reflection in the top of the eye.
