From a magical morning wandering around Lake Louise after a day of heavy snow, trying to catch the laden trees before the snow dropped or melted off.

Wow, that light is beautiful! I like the top 2/3 of this image, but that dirty, plowed road isn't working for me. Maybe if the road were still just snowy? Cropping to just above the plowed snow, with an accompanying crop off the top to balance the image would be better to my eye.

Great light on the mountain. Playing around with the slider in the large view, I think the mountain becomes even more impressive if the road is cropped out.

Thanks guys, I've got heaps of pics without the road but I specifically wanted a road shot as a road trip travel image, which are very 'in-vogue' at the moment :D

I like it as is, although I wonder how this would look converted to B/W. I would guess austere, forbidding and majestic! Either way, the road is a strong leading line to both the figurative horizon (and the size of the mountain), as well as the heart of the picture. Makes me wonder as well how the downhill side of the road would be. A real sleigh ride, I suspect!

I like this as presented. And that includes the road. It is definitely a shot telling a story of going somewhere and not simply a shot of snowy trees. The road adn the point of view give this a lot of depth.

I like this a lot. Always good to have some images like this including roads leading you in and this one works great. The view and light here are just wonderful.

I kind of like the road, Kah Kit. It works as a travel image, and the brownish yellow contrasts nicely with the purplish sky above. I can also imagine it as a Black and White as suggested above, and in BW, the road might look snowy instead of dirty. Either way, a fine image, and I'm glad you didn't get rear ended in the process.
