Solitary Sandhill

Another from Bosque. This one was out by itself with a flock of geese as backdrop. I kind of liked how the layering of birds worked for context. Full frame with slight tilt correction.

Very nice, Bill.  You really nailed the plumage and pose of the Sandhill.  If those bg snowies aren't blown, I might tone them down just bit, but not to the point of looking gray.

I really like this, Bill. Nice light and a great pose. The geese in the background really give the image depth and help to tell the story of the scene.

Bill: I like the isolation of the Sandhill as it really stands out in the frame. I would tone down the geese in the b/g a bit. Richard

Superb color and light on this image Bill.  I like the placement of the crane.  Really good job on the detail.  The out of focus geese in the background fit in well with the whole story.  One could tone down the brightness of the geese in the background but that might affect the quality of the light shining on them.  Yes, trade-offs.

Very nice, really sharp and well exposed image of this crane.  Also like the habitat, including the background snow geese.  I have witnessed this type of scene many times, so it looks very authentic to me.
