Denali NP, Eielson Visitor Center
During the slightly extended bus stop at the visitor center the light was changing and I was in overload mode with all of the compositional possibilities. I tend to be methodical if at all possible but the limited time kept me from exhausting all of the options. Oh well, a reason to go back. Please view large. All comments welcome.>=))>

Stunning view!  The mountain ridge line tones are exceptional.  The river breaks things up nicely with the diagonal.  Reminds me in some ways of the highlands of iceland in the mix of colors and textures.  Lots of great details in the large.  No suggestions, like it a lot.

Exceptional comp and view.
I might darken it a bit for personal taste, but very well done.

Beautiful, and I can't think of a better composition.

Beautiful mix of cool and warm colors and wonderful textures. Composition looks well balanced and processing spot-on. Nice work!

The colors and the subject matter is great. I think another option for this image is a pano crop just above the river. That would really focus on the textures and the lines of the hills.

Bill,

Dang, I thought I commented on this last night.  Guess I'll just have to enjoy this again... cool  In the words of Harry and Dan, Stunning and Exceptional.

Wow, what fantastic landscape.  I can sympathize with the sensory overload and frustration of not having enough time to explore all the possibilities.  I can already see with this one scene how you've masterfully isolated a scene within a scene.  And I see more! That upper left quadrant is another image by itself.

I really like the gradation of tones from warm to cool as  you travel bottom to top.  Much to explore here. A grand vista where every element fits together perfectly.  I have no nits or suggestions.  Beautifully seen and captured Bill!

This is a striking image with all those lines angled down and into the river. The colors are just wonderful as well. Gorgeous!

What an amazing scene! The contrast between the flat area in the foreground and the steep mountain sides is striking. I am also enjoying the variation in colors and the beautiful lines throughout the composition.

Very strong image, Bill.

Bill, this is excellent. I liked the cool to warm transition of your other post a lot, and this one has that again, and more. I like how the river pulls the cool tones down into the bottom of the image. The colors of the foreground tundra are just beautiful. I might like to see a little more room on the left for the confluence of the streams, but that is a very minor nit.

Love this one too, Bill.  The tele shot is my favorite, but this is awfully nice.  Great work.
