Rangitoto and Me

Following Sandy's lead, a shot of me at a beach in Auckland overlooking the volcanic island of Rangitoto in the Hauraki Gulf. The island came up around 1400 A.D ( I'm standing pretty much on what it left behind ! ). - hopefully there's no more to come !

And yet, more will come! Much of NZ's North Island is volcanically active. Nice to make your acquaintance too!!

Good to see you enjoying such a wonderful place, Ian. Of course, Nature shows us wonderful things everywhere, but it's great to see a different part of the world.
