I believe this image really conveys the power that these bears possess. Yet they are so gentle in our presence. Taken along a stream on an island in the Great Bear Rainforest. Processed with Lightroom, Photoshop and Lightzone. Comments and critiques welcome.

Hi Jerry,
Looks like this bear has his eyes on a big salmon (or at least anticipating it).  My main comment is to be careful / aware of the background in wildlife images.  Background is sooo important.  I am finding the large rocks to be distracting and know that sometimes you can't do anything about it.  But sometimes moving 1-2 feet in one directions can change the background and make the image much better.  Hope that helps.

I love this pose, Jerry.  Great detail of eye, claws and quartering-on facial perspective.

Wow Jerry. I really love the look of this bear. You did a fantastic job with the detail and perspective here. Tiny nit, looking at the large version, you might want to blur the edges of the lichen on the rock right behind its shoulder just a bit. Great look.
