Tigress with tourists

I was in Ranthambhore Tiger Reserve in June this year. This tigress, named Noor (T 39 as per forest department records), finally made a sambhar (India's largest deer) kill after more than a week of unsuccessful hunting. She had 3 one-year old cubs that hadn't fed during that time, and were looking famished and listless, preferring to conserve their energies rather than expend them on play. After their mother made the kill, she left the carcass and walked back almost 2 km, calling out to her cubs. There was a mad rush of vehicles packed with tourists, wanting a piece of the action, but she walked past all of us, absolutely unfazed by all the attention.

Place: Ranthambhore Tiger Reserve, Rajasthan, India
Date: June, 2017
Equip: Canon 1Dx, Canon 100-400 IS II USM lens at 153mm
Specs: ISO 1000, f5.6, 1/250s, Evaluative metering, +0.67 exp comp, beanbag on vehicle

As always, all critics and critiques welcome :)

Interesting photograph.  Certainly shows the interactions of people around a large top predator.  Lets hope those in the vehicles were gaining a better appreciation of wildlife.  From a photo tech side, I do not like the cut off people at the top and I think the FG could be just a bit darker, but the photo makes it point!   Thanks for sharing.
