Young Buck

This was an adorable young buck.  He was standing in the shade, so I lightened him up a bit and darkened the BG.  The colors came out a bit "funky" frown, so I converted it to a fawn colored BW.

My raw files are so large, that it's hard to preserve the detail when reducing the image.  Trust me, the original is not pixilated at all!

He was in San Antonio in a wooded area.

FYI, it's funny...you can tell my Lyme disease is better, when my activity on NPN picks up sad crying

This image has a very lovely 1950's touch to it! I like it. I can't understand, though, when you say your RAW files are very large and you are unable to preserve details when you reduce the size of the image. All our RAW files are large! You might benefit by taking a class with a good Photoshop teacher. Hope you don't mind my saying this.

No, I don't mind.  I'm pretty proficient with ps.  It's only some photos, that I seem to have problems with...I think it's my graphics card.

I agree this has an "old time' effect.  I think it is good that you are willing to experiment a bit to find a way to present your subject in a pleasing manner.
