My son gets a hug from his fiancee after the completion of Basic Military Training at Lackland Air Force Base. They were married shortly after training and stationed in northern Italy for 3 years. He was deployed in the Middle East when his son was born back in Italy. They're now stationed in Florida.

Hug a veteran this weekend.

A charming moment to have captured so well, Rudy. It may be a minor consideration in such an emotive shot, but I do think this is very well composed with the couple standing out from the body of troops.

Brings back memories of when I finished Air Force Basic in November of 1966 at Amarillo AFB, TX. I like the how the airmen at parade rest are seemingly unaware of the emotion behind them. Nicely composed.

I hope your son has a fine career in the USAF, and I thank him for his service!
