Last week I posted "Lake George Surprise" showing the east shore of Lake George lit by the first rays as the Sun sank behind the clouds behind me.  As I continued to shoot the sunlit mountains, I realized that I needed a wider shot vertically to catch the clouds that minutes before were just a blanket of dark gray.  A 24 mm. vertical shot was not wide enough so I shot the panorama in two rows.

Back home, my next challenge was cropping the whole, wide view.  I had some compositions in mind, but every time I "zoomed in" I found myself missing the parts I had cropped out.  I'll try to post some of the crops this week to ask for your help finding the most appealing part of the image (or maybe I should just stick with this shot of half of the visible world).

I appreciate your help!

Canon 5D3; Canon 24-105 mm.; Circ. Pol.
1/10 sec. @ f/10; ISO 640
14 vertical frames (2 rows of 7) stitched in PSCC

Really nice - landscape with the lake, light on the peaks, clouds, and fall colors, it's all right there. :) I wonder if you could've stepped onto the rock on the right to get a clear view of the lake without branches protruding? Though maybe that would've been difficult, particularly with the panoramic shooting and all.

This half of your visible world is stunning Wayne. Excellent work with stitching on this. Gorgeous color and clarity. I could see several amazing other renditions of this should you want to recompose parts of it, but this is fantastic as is.
