Dunes Abstract

The tallest and oldest Dunes in the world are in the Namib desert of Namibia.
This started as a "straight" image of the dunes, then abstract sketch, curves and other filters applied.
Just something different - and much harder than it appears.

Sandy

Very striking.  Would love to see the "before" with the "after".

Wow, now that's yellow. I like all the sweet curves and the bright ridge lines, but I would prefer the upper crest not being cropped.

very nice manipulation, with great lines and colors. I agree that the top crest would be better left uncropped.

Sandy, this is a stunning image!  Your processing is very effective at bringing out the curves and shape of the dunes.  Absolutely first calls work.

Wow, fantastic looking!  A dune, but not a dune.  I'm wondering if the banding in the dune areas of the large view are paaart of the original file, or just due to compression here?  Very imaginative.
