Beautiful setting and handling of the water.  I see you wanted us to focus on the stream's movement, but I would love to see a complete scene including the rest of the interesting trees.

Rudy,

This is an absolutely beautiful Eastern Sierra autumn image.  This combines all the great features which include the creeks and the fall color; not to mention the boulders.

Of course the larger version must be viewed to truly appreciate this one.  I especially like the streaks of texture and color of the water pouring through the granite boulders at center of frame.  Just beautiful.

My biggest and only complaint, it's not mine. ;-)   This is fabulous Rudi!

Rudy, this view benefits strongly from viewing the larger version, where the colors pop nicely and the shadow details show well.  Your focus on the stream works well as it curves through the image.  The color and interesting textures in the trees make for a great fall scene.

Rudy, this is lovely! The path of the creek leads you right into the image, and to that beautiful yellow foliage. I also like the texture of that V tree on the left, and the white of the aspens behind it. I could see some slight dodging of the whites in the water, but this is very nice as presented.

This is beautiful, Rudy.  I like the perspective and the way that you filled the foreground wiht the stream.  The autumn color in the upper right hand side is beautiful.  Nicely done!

The large version is a must see here because it opens up the darker areas here and the detail shows off much better. Even though this is about the creek I find myself wanting to see more of the rocks and trees. The water is really well done in terms of texture but the bottom 1/3 is less captivating than then upper 2/3.

BTW, if the moderators will allow a bit of humor I want to share a very old memory that's tied to this image. I was around 15 on a hike in the Sierras when we came upon a tree like the one on the left. One of the older scouts quipped "So that's how plants do it".

I love the details in the large version, Rudy. The oranges add a nice splash of autumn color to the scene and I like the diagonal flow of the stream as it leads me into the image. Great SS choice BTW.

Beautiful composed, Rudy. Your SS selection is perfect - retaining some texture while keeping the water flow dynamic. Processing looks spot on to me. I could see maybe burning down the bright spot at the left center frame edge but this is minor stuff. Great work!

Rudy, What a wonderful fall scene this is. I really like this composition and the larger version is a treat!! The 1/4 sec exposure worked beautifully on the water giving it nice motion and texture. Really nice work!

Wonderful scene.  Well constructed with great depth of fielld and just the right amount of motion blur in the water.  I like it a lot
