Winter Harkens
I arrived in the Tetons the first week of October when the snow storm was clearing. Hopes were that the sky would be set ablaze and tint the snow on the plain below.

First off I love the Tetons and I never think there are to many images of them. I really like this one for a few reasons. The combination of seasons for one. Winter snow, fall color and green mixed in. The sky and the clouds on the mountains are the frosting that make the image. The different layers draw my eye through the image with plenty of places to stop and explore. Great image.

Real fine Teton image. Great mix of tree and sky color and excellent depth to the image. The low clouds are great!

Doug,

Wow, yikes, Oh my, this is glorious!  A grand Teton image for sure.  I love this.   Although I probably would have thought about this had you not mentioned your hopes... but I do believe you got what you were after in terms of color/tint being reflected in the snow on the landscape; It's subtle, but there.

Gorgeous landscape!  devil

The foreground is amazing, Doug. I really like the light and how you composed the image.

The larger image is absolutely breathtaking.  Perfect light, and every part of the image shows its glory.

Although we all long for skies that set ablaze, sometimes light like this can be even more beautiful.  I especially like the warm / cool tones.  The softer quality of light is really appealing.  I like everything about this, Doug.  Outstanding work!

Just a splendid, broad and sweeping, view Doug. I love a good foreground anchor a lot of the time, but there are some images where it's better to just let the grandness take over.

Doug, This is absolutely beautiful. Light and colors are just wonderful and this comp really works. The dusting of snow really adds a great touch to the foreground, then the mountains, clouds and sky are amazing looking. Love this and perfect for me as is.

The large version is a feast for the eyes. Just an amazing image. If anything, bringing down the exposure in the very brightest areas of center left could possibly be a small improvement.

I'm jealous Doug snow already.  We didn't get any in Scotland last year and certainly none with autumn foliage acting as a barrage of colour bombs in your fresh monochromatic snow dusting.

This is superb, Doug. My kind of image! Beautifully composed with great depth and interest throughout. Processing looks very natural. Only thought would be to raise the luminosity a bit in the layer of trees in the middle of the frame.
