Taken on a walk in Fall Canyon, Death Valley, CA. The temperature was 103F, and the trail was completely empty of other hikers.

Minolta A2, 1/325 s, f/3.5, ISO 64, 7.3 mm, HH.

The glow on the back wall looks nice against the front walls with their slight purple tint.  Temptation would be to clone out the tiny bit of sky on the top edge.  The gravel floor makes for a clean appearance.

Welcome to NPN Stephanie and to the Landscape Gallery.  A wonderful first post here. Excellent composition, great detail and depth of field (f/3.5 really?)  The gravel floor is amazingly flat - almost looks like it flatted by rollers or something. ;-)  Agree with Doug about the back wall.  I think there's even room to punch that up a little, but that's all personal preference.

Definitely need to lose that tiny patch of sky on the top edge.  Other than that, no nits or suggestions.  Beautifully seen, captured and presented.

We look forward to  your images and participation!

Very 'cool' shot ;)  Just need to drop out that bit at the top and dig the colors and feel.  Way to deal w the heat.

Despite the attraction of the glow in the center this image speaks of power and massiveness. On the right we have the stolid legs of an elephant. On the left the prow of a ship. Yes the light at the top should be eliminated. Nice image.

Beautiful take from DV! Great light and colors. I agree on the crop or clone at the top, but minor stuff. Real nice work.

I am looking forward to seeing more of your work and your input on the work of others. Welcome aboard!

I agree with the comments already made. Welcome to the Landscape galley. When you comment on other images it really makes the experience on NPN that much greater. I have personally grown from commenting on other images, whether it was all praise or constructive criticism.
