I have walked past the web for years and never seen a spider there, and have always thought,  that these spiders come out at night, probably in groups. The web is always disorganized and colorless, and messy.  It was this jewel beetle that dew me , and until i saw the beetle move. A perfectly camouflaged spider was trying to drag the oversized beetle in. It was the movement that gave away the spider.
Went back and read about the " Indian Co-Operative Sider", or the social spider. My next visit, yes I would stop by these.

That colorful beetle is definitely an attention grabber, Balan.  This looks like a "tough choice" shot, where you have to choose between focusing on the beetle or on the spider.  Your choice of the spider fits this view well, with great details in the spider balanced nicely with the attention grabbing colors of the beetle.

Wow, that shield bug really pops Balan. The spider is excellent. What a great action shot.

Perfect timing and good title, Balan. I like the contrast between “jewel” and “monster”. The metallic colors of the beetle are really gorgeous. The diagonal twig in the background looks a bit bright for me, but overall a great capture of nature’s rule.
