Mormon Row Fog

by Doug Koepsel

After I woke up at 4AM, I noticed under the moonlight that my intended location was inundated with fog.  So I went higher and further south to the barns on Mormon Row.  Just at sunrise, the fog bank crept south enough to mystify the peaks.

This came out real nice. The different distances of each object is well conveyed with the fog/mist. The composition works well with the idea of variable visibility as the various distances are distributed in the image. I like it.

Superb photograph. The muted colors and purple hue to the fog are great . Love the composition and peaks juttling out throgh the fog.  Not much I could suggest to improve.  Great work!

Excellent take from the iconic location. The fog really makes this nicely different.

Beautiful early morning scene, Doug.  The fog really makes your image stand out, even if it is a very familiar and well photographed scene.  I love it.

Doug, This is really a wonderful photograph. Fantastic conditions and you captured it beautifully. I like the panoramic format too!

This is such a well-known, oft-photographed spot, and you've made it unique by allowing the fog to obscure the mountains in the background, with just their peaks hinting at their presence. I love this.

Hard to get a new "take" on an icon, but you have achieved that, and well. the mystical beauty of the fog and glimpse of the Teton peaks is lovely.
Very well-done!

A nicely balanced composition and exceptional presentation of the scene for me.

Congrats on the EP!
