Harbor Seal

During my recent Great Bear Rainforest trip, my clients and I were searching the coastline for bears, an activity that included staking out various streams and creeks where salmon came to spawn.  We were hoping the bears might show up for a meal, but of course, they're not the only predators interested in salmon.  A couple of harbor seals would pop their heads out of the water near our Zodiac.  In itself this isn't too exciting of an occurrence, but in this case the massive foamy runoff from a nearby waterfall made for a different kind of shot... a seal taking a bubble bath!

Very interesting frame, very nicely executed !
Love your placement of seal in the frame and falling spray  rain is a big plus.

Pretty cool. When I first saw it I thought "bubble bath". Gotta be prepared to make the most of any situation, which you did.

I, too, thought "bubble bath!"  I really like the spray in the air.  Neat shot.

Love this Harbor Seal shot, Max!  I just recently got a shot of one in a very similar pose but the bubbles and spray in this one make it something special!  Your large version is still quite small.  I would love to see it at 1500 - 1600 pixels!
