Handsome Meadow Katydid - does anybody know if this is the correct ID?  The Handsome Meadow Katydid is supposed to be in North Florida from June to November.

Sweetwater Wetlands Park, Gainesville, Florida

10/07/2017 10:12:59 AM on a very cloudy day
Canon EOS 7D Mark II EF100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS II USM +1.4x III @401mm
f/8, 1/500, ISO 800
Aperture Priority, Evaluative Metering
Imported into LR, processed in Adobe RAW and CC PS 2017, cropped for composition.

This was a very strange experience because I felt like I was taking an upside down picture and because this grasshopper looked so unusual.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you!

I can't help with the ID, Barbara, but is is a handsome katydid, with the fine backlit glow of it's legs. It also blends well with the background.  I'd suggest that you burn-in the bright face a bit.  I also think you could crop this to 2:3 or 8.5x11 with the katydid in the lower right.  That would work nicely with the long antennae angling off to the left.
