Great Egrets

Here's a couple of Great Egrets from the Texas coast this spring, it looks like they could be dancing but actually they were in a dispute at a rookery here.

Just beautiful! Like ballet dancers! The exposure, the details, the sharpness are all spot on! Just wish the sky was blue.....sigh!

Lovely, Nate. It's really cool to get them both clear of the crowd and in such nice poses. Well done.

Great action, Nate. I'm guessing the one on the right won the dispute devil

Very nice, wonderful light, terrific feather detail and tack sharp. Love the glare that each one is giving the other.

Simply gorgeous. They look like dancers. Getting both in focus was an accomplishment. Very nice.

Interesting to see these Great Egrets engage in this behavior. Very good exposure. Terrific plumage detail. And of course I like the composition. I see Herons do this all the time but to see Egrets do it just seems more elegant.

What a great opportunity and you captured it perfectly, Nate! Great action, both are completely in focus and extremely sharp plus the exposure is excellent, especially considering all that white plumage! Love this shot! devil

Nate, everything is perfect about this shot. It's like a dream shot. Here in Florida it's usually the Snowy Egrets who fight (a lot), but I have never seen Great Egrets performing this ballet.

I really like the simplicity of this awesome action capture, all my attention is focused on the ariel display of the egrets.

Great action poses by both birds and sharp details! Well seen and expertly captured!

Hi Nate
Looks Like I am the last one to the dance. Nice work.

Love the mid-air ballet pose Nate. I like the eye contact they have with each other. Very cool!
