Geirangerfjorden

From another wet, cloudy day in Norway, overlooking the Geiranger Fjord last June.  My daughter and I started the hike at sea level in the town of Hellesylt and this was taken about half way up the side of the fjord.  It was a brutal hike and really made me appreciate the trail system in the Sierras.
Thanks,

Really nice image, Rudy. I really like the detail in those trees. The fg is saturated yet appropriately so. It stands out in a natural manner. The only issue is the yellow rock at the bottom but cropping it out would be a mistake for the overall composition. There's a nice sense of perspective here that the forest provides. The mists in the distance are magical. I kinda also like that small pine tree dead center.

The mist adds a lot to the image and to the general mood, Rudy. I also like the composition and the colors. I do agree with Igor about the yellow rock. I hope you had the chance to see the sun.

This works for me, Rudi. The trees look great, and I love the clouds. With regard to the yellow rock: It would be very easy to select it, and then use a Hue/Sat layer to reduce the yellow and red. The composition has a nice balance.

Wow, what a difference between the small and large views. This needs to be viewed LARGE. I would agree with the yellow rock suggestions, but not a deal killer. Beautiful scene and great mood to the image. I like this a lot.

Rudy,

After coming back to this a few times I know can describe what I could initially.  "Lost World."  It's almost like it's two worlds superimposed on each other; the lush green forest contrasted with mysterious fogged embraced fjord.

I like this one very much - and even more so each time I view it.  No nits or suggestions.

In some areas, the clouds look like waterfalls pouring off the mountains.  Fantastic scene Rudy.

I love the fog clinging to the fjord.  The framing with the mountains is perfect.  I would play with burning/desaturating the orange rock bottom left so that it is less of a draw.  Beautiful image.

Feels as if the Amazon rain forest was transported to Norway.  Love the contrast in feel between the foreground and background.

The clouds add a fine sense of coolness to this view, Rudy.  The greens in the foreground illustrate how cloudy weather saturates colors.  It's a vey inviting view.  I agree with deemphasizing that foreground rock.

Rudy, this must have been something to experience after all the effort it took to get there. This is just beautiful. The mist clinging to the cliffs, and only revealing a small bit of blue water just makes this for me. I agree that the lower right rock could be desaturated a bit, as it does pull my eye down there. Really, really nice image.
