While the summer heat is subsiding here, my lack of motivation to head out to look for pictures is not.  Thought I'd take a hike to the refrigerator instead.  (You know, there's a lot of "natural" subjects there too if you broaden your perspective a bit.)  Found these little ones trying to hide in one of the door compartments.  The cold made them reasonably sluggish so I was able to get a few images on a sheet of white printing paper before they attempted to roll away.  I think there may be more photo possibilities with them if they'll cooperate.

Nikon D7200, 18-300 zoom, f/6.3, 1/10sec, ISO 400, handheld

If you wait long enough, you maybe able to photograph them in a completely different state. Fried; poached; boiled; salad; deviled; decorated; whatever. Lots of photo opportunities.Nice image. Like that there are three; their placement, and that they are partially visible.

Eggcellent, Tony; takes me back to my early photography courses at the local community college.

I am really loving the concept,  composition and lighting. The focus is throwing me off a little. It might be my old eye, but I would loke to see a large portion of one of the eggs really sharp and the rest fade to OOF. It might be me, but I am not really seeing that anywhere?  Great creativity!

Also reminds me of early photo classes.  I will keep this in mind.  I like that you do have detail in the egg shell whites!  TFS

Very cool, Tony. The weird DOF provides a bit of overall interest along with the actual composition too.
As a kid I worked on a chicken ranch and picked a million eggs or more during those years. Man do I know eggs, and these are some fine looking ones.......sad
