Brown fish owl pair

It poured throughout my trip to Kabini last week. This was the first time I was seeing 4 pairs of brown fish owls - it is rare to see even one individual on a standard 3 night trip!
Equip: Canon 7D Mk2, Canon 500 IS USM II lens
Specs: ISO 2000, f6.3, 1/250s, evaluative metering, Aperture priority, zero exp comp, beanbag on vehicle

Judging by this one and the Leopard, you must have had a remarkable "standard" trip!

Hi Ajit,

I like the poses of these 2 owls and the exposure and camera settings captured the scene perfectly. I also like those wet ear tufts on the owls--it goes well with the drops of rain in the scene..........................Jim

Good detail in the owls. Nicely composed. I like the rain drops, but the owl on the left doesn't look too happy with the rain.

A great composition, Ajit and beautiful detail in the owls. I love how both sets of eyes caught the light. Very well done.
