Thistle

This is beautiful, Barb.  I am not familiar with the Thistle (I live in the East), but you captured it very well.  Nice complimentary background.  When I opened up the larger version though, it was the same size pretty much. Anyway, it looks like you captured nice detail in all of the Thistle.

Beautiful and very sharp in the larger version.  I love that it's a Thistle without a bee or butterfly on it.  It most definitely stands on its own.

Perfect presentation, with a good contrasting BG. Excellent detail as well. I wish you had posted the larger image, as the one you posted is the same size. Perhaps a repost of a larger image in the comments?

Phil, I'm a little confused! I read somewhere on this site that the larger image should be no more than 800 pixels in height, which is just a little larger than the smaller 720 pixel image.  All the large images I've been posting have been that size.  Suddenly, on my most recent images, people have been telling me my large image is not larger, but nobody ever said anything before.  Has something changed?  I'd be happy to start posting larger images if this is an option.
