Another Willet image from the same day. I liked the pose with the open beak and the bits of seaweed.

7Dii, Sigma 150-600 C @ 516 mm, hand held, f/8, 1/1600, iso 640, manual exposure. Processed in LR & PS CC. Cropped to 12.2 MP before resizing. Taken at Padre Island National Seashore at 9:45 am on April 13th, 2017.

I really like this one, Dennis! The clarity and details are impressive , the exposure is perfect , the pose is all you could ask for with one leg up and the beak open and last but not least your composition works great, with the bits of vegetation in just the right places for a good balance. Very nice! devil

The open beak, the raised foot and the paucity of color in this image work very well. Superb detail and good head turn. Another really nice image of a Willet.
