Also known as the Striated.
At first the piece of nesting material looked to spoil the image but then I noticed the method of picking it up.
Taken from a boat on the Rufiji River, Selous Game Reserve, Tanzania.

Very clever bird, Ken. A nice image with interesting behavior and the bird pops from the bg pretty well in the larger version.

Nice capture with a special point of interest, Ken! I like the nice light on the Heron and the clarity and details are excellent in the large version.
