I posted another image of this willet in flight with a different wing position some time ago, but I also liked this one, so I thought I'd post it as well.

7Dii, Sigma 150-600 C @ 516 mm, hand held, f/8, 1/2500, iso 640, manual exposure.  Processed in LR & PS CC.  A bit of canvas added to the top and right.  Taken at Padre Island National Seashore at 9:12 am on April 13th, 2017.

Your comments and critiques are always appreciated.

Thanks,

They are numerous around here, but I never am ready for them in flight. Nice work.

Great flight shot indeed.  Something I never seem to be able to succeed in.
Good stuff.

Hi Dennis
This photograph shows a really nice action shot of a bird that this is hard to follow in the air, nice work.

A very nice flight shot, Dennis!  I like the fully stretched wing that really shows off the colors and textures of the feathers.  Maybe a tiny bit hot on the white feathers but not very noticable.  Good job of catching such a small fast bird in flight!

Nice work on this flight image Dennis. I like the placement in the frame and the added canvas looks good.

I think this is one of your best in-flight shots Dennis.  It works so well with the mirrored color background.  I think the wing position and the birds body position in a frame are just perfect.  The detail is superb.

Lovely shot, Dennis.  Though it may not be an "ideal" wing spread, I think it's nice that you got the back wing tip showing, which helps echo the wonderful pattern in the foreground wing.
