Stock Dove.
After 4 hours in the field pool hide the sun  went low behind and cast a shadow over part of the pool. I was just about to pack in and this  came down and started too bathe. The ripples and the low yellow sun  with the reflection off the  pool vegetation created this weird effect.
Just shows if you hang on something might happen !

Hello John,... Creative look about this, with the circling ripples.

That is one weird looking reflection, John.  A very nice image of the dove as well with front to back sharpness.  The pose makes it look like the dove it looking at the weird water as well.

Really good job on the plumage detail here in this image.  I agree that the effect between the ripples and the low sun created an unusual effect but I find the contrast rather interesting.  Good pose on the bird.

Thaks all.
Strangely I went in the hide the following day and the same effect returned . Yhis time though there were no birds to ripple the water. The whole    thing only lasted a few minutes. It is just the narrow band of strong yellow light shining on the vegetation at the back of the pool, and the foreground  about in shadow. It can only happen at this time of the year on a sunny evening and we haven.t had many of those.
Hope you,re all OK with the weather problems over there.
Cheers

I may move the hide a little round to the right.
