Thank you for helpful comments on my recent posts! These Lupine and Corn Lilies are in a meadow west of Sonora Pass. I liked the arcing grasses and the early morning dew.

This a 4-image stack for depth of field.

I really have no idea how you find such good compositions out of the plant chaos I normally see on the ground.  I like this all around.  You should think about  posting on Flora sometime.  It would add a bit more variety to the images there.

A very "fresh" feeling scene.  I like how the grasses in the foreground fan out around that little circle of leaves.  The purple flowers are a nice accent.

Preston, I'm really enjoying this image. The composition you came up with here looks great and this has such a nice feel. Excellent processing too. Like it alot!

Nice intimate scene, Preston.  I like the diagonal line formed by the corn lillies combined with the arcing grasses and the way that they radiate from lower center.

Very well done, Preston.  I envy your ability to pull off wonderful comps from the chaos underfoot.  Nicely done.

Preston,

Ahhhh, just like I was there  yesterday....  You did a great job composing this little intimate floral scene. And Tony is on to something - it's quite difficult to pull cohesive comps out of what are typically random scenes in nature.  You did a great job using the corn lilies up top to frame the lupine; and even the lupine - it's more about the plant than the flowers themselves, and that included the added grasses as well.

Processing looks great.  I'm struggling with the cyan in these scenes myself, now realizing that the "green" vegetation is just green in Photoshop. ;-)  What you've presented here looks just how I remember it.

Beautiful little high Sierra mini-landscape.

Beautiful Preston.  Lovely composition and I really like the different shades of green too.  Well done.

I am finding this a bit chaotic, but it still works. As an experiment, try your B&W luminosity layer and boost the cyan and drop the green to give this a bit more contrast and let me know what you think.
