Wakulla River Beauty

My first post in a while.  Been busy with life and whatnot for the past few months so i haven't been around very much on NPN.  I hope everyone is well and busy shooting great images.

This image is called Wakulla River Beauty. Morning awakens on the Wakulla River. This image truly depicts the raw beauty and lushness of the natural Florida terrain. Although the river is spring fed, high local rainfall has introduced darker, tannin swamp water which has turned the water the color of tea.

Large version available for better detail.
Comments, critiques, and suggestions always welcomed and greatly appreciated.

Outstanding, Bill.  I love the graceful moss draped trees and the reflection in the tea colored water is special.  Beautifully done.

Nice to see you back, Bill! I hope all is well!

This is a pleasingly serene image. The composition is nicely balanced, and I love all the detail. I do see a magenta cast in the whites of the tree trunks and the Spanish moss. The greens and the darks look fine.

Hope to see more images from you!

Bill, The detail in the larger version is excellent. Has some nice 3D quality with depth and sharp edging too. The green is especially crisp here.......very nice indeed.....laugh

Hi Bill,  I'm enjoying all the graceful verticals in this shot --the curving trunks and delicate hanging moss.  The tea-colored water adds a nice touch.  One thing that does bug me when I view this is the horizontal stripe of green.  To me there is no separation betwen the greenery of the shore and the leaves of that central trunk, which makes it a very strong element, further magnified by the reflection.  It just seems slightly overpowering compared to the other elements in this.

I like the composition and feeling of the image. Quiet day on a lazy river.

Very nice composition Bill.  I am enjoying the splotches of green contrasted with the gray trunks and moss.  The reflection of this is wonderful.

Glad to see a post from  you Bill!  And what a beauty it is.  Great detail throughout including the hanging moss and the green leaves.  I also really think the browns in the water add quite a lot to the image, giving the view more reason to explore.

The only very minor suggestion I have would be to locally reduce the saturation in the brighter, reflected greens at the bottom.  Maybe it's the brightness of the greens and not the sat, but my eye is pulled there a little bit more than if I were just roaming around the frame enjoying the details.  Minor and of course personal choice.

Beautiful scene and capture.
