Evergreen Eclipse

Just a reminder to please use protection on your camera today when you are taking photos of the eclipse.  This was taken this morning at sunrise.  Where I live, we expect 94% totality.  I had been planning to drive down three hours to the totality zone but my plans changed and I need to be at home.  In some areas near Madras, Oregon, they have had 15 mile traffic backups and many gas stations have run out of gas.

The silhouetted trees are a fine foil to the sun, David.  Yes, it seems that eclipse fever is everywhere.  Even here where the prediction is 80% coverage, the highway signs are warning against parking in or alongside the main highways.

David, I really love this. I have just returned from Madras for the eclipse, and then a tour of Oregon, and was very excited to view others' images of the eclipse, but I have to say I was not expecting this, and it will likely be one of my favorites, even though it's not even of the eclipse!

Thanks Craig.  I live in a valley facing east so weather permitting, this happens every day.  Full moons are also fun.  But as mentioned this was taken on the morning of the eclipse.
