Prairie Dock

This is the same flower as in my previous post without the sleeping bumblebee.  Prairie dock is an uncommon plant of wet tall grass prairies and I have only observed this plant in lake plain prairie remnants along the shore of Saginaw Bay, Michigan.  This particular plant is growing near our pond by the bee hives. K5 IIs 180 mm f3.5 (1/10 sec at f22, Iso 160) Fill flash with concave diffuser set at -1.33 ev,  Levels on background selection and dust removal.........................Jim

Beautiful flower, and you sure captured it well, Jim.  I love how the flower just stands out so well against the white background.  Great detail all the way through, as well.  Nicely done.

Good detail, light and color. Well thought out post processing. This needs to be seen large.
