Rufous with Honeysuckle

I took this about a week ago under a slight overcast and in smoky haze from the British Columbia fires that have been plaguing the Pacific Northwest for some time.  I like the pollen on the head of the hummingbird.  I suppose one could have feelings about the level of pink saturation but I think it is pretty accurate based on what I see daily in my yard.

Beautiful, David.  We still have a few hummingbirds around, but I don't have any nice flowers for them right now.  This is incredibly sharp.  The pink looks reasonable to me.

What an excellent capture of this hummer, David!  The details in those feathers are incredible!  The catch light in the eye, the flowers the background, all of it just makes for a perfect shot.  I have the hummers too, but the flowers are low to the ground this year, and, they love the sugar water in the feeds best of all.
