Looking straight up from the courtyard of an apartment complex in Bologna, Italy. There is a mesh screen at the top which gives a moire appearance to the sky.

Pretty cool shot. Well seen and photographed. It has something of a science fiction feel to it, particularly the large view. Hard to know what's up, down, etc.

David, this is such a cool perspective on geometric shapes and colors. I especially like the symmetry of windows and shutters that angle toward the blue sky and the angled light reflected onto the lower left wall. The window mid-right has a white line that, to me, is a little distracting, but I really enjoyed figuring out the orientation of the image.

Great perspective and very nice image is all respects. I especially like the screen and the appearance it gives to the sky.Was it really this clean? Seems like it should have something on it. Leaves, pigeon or swift evidence, etc.

Wonderful perspective and color. The gray clouds seem a bit odd, but they work well in the overall composition.

Concur with critique points already noted, specifically how well seen, and the play of the lines and angles. The sun angled in on the walls adds another 3D dimension to the image. I like it.

Great image, and glad it was picked for recognition, or I might have skipped seeing it. Wonderful colors and geometric shapes. The cloud in the center adds a nice touch.
